RICA TURNED SOUR IN THE REAL WORLD
Without a doubt, Rica Paras was one of the notable Housemates in Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. Though she was becoming louder and sometimes annoying to people's ear drums, the viewers were still having fun with her energetic personality and amazing creativity.
Due to her sexuality issues, she sometimes became hysterical, feeling the hurt and pain with all the rejections and discriminations in her life.
There was an incident inside the house when the boys made comments about Rica being a She-man and Samson & Delilah. These two words created a Big Buzz in the Philippine Entertainment Industry. People were outraged by that rude judgment from the boys. Even Rica felt the pain of that discrimination.
In this world, if you are a gay or a lesbian, you are subject to harassment, rejection and discrimination which is so sad to think of. I’m just wondering if there are transgender management facilities or schools in local communities that cater to these individuals who have difficulties coping with their gender issues and so with Parents and siblings who struggle in accepting a gay family member.
Anyway, inside the PBB House, Rica showcased her intelligence, talents and her real persona in front of the camera for several weeks. She gained a huge amount of confidence, trust and love from the people for just a short span of time.
But....when she began to live her life in the Real World, Rica’s sweet image “Turned Sour”. She lost what she earned inside the house by giving a shocking comment to her housemate during her interview at "The Buzz", a "Talk Show" hosted by Boy Abunda, Kris Aquino and Ruffa Guttierez.
She got people outraged by what she said. The tele viewers didn't expect her utter such drastic comment. It dragged her down to the lowest level possible. Sinira niya ang magandang imahe na nabuo niya sa loob ng bahay. Rica is known to many by her wits and keen perception to things and situations around her. She should be intelligent enough to understand that giving their personal opinion to fellow housemates inside the house is part of the game. They have to give their comments and opinion whether they like it or not because this is one of the many many ways Big Brother has to do to Test Their Character and to test how well they react to every criticism thrown behind their back as well as how open and strong they are in accepting criticism from other housemates no matter how rude and harsh it is.
This is also one way of preparing themselves when they continue to live their life in the outside world where criticism is everywhere and even more painful and sharp. I thought PBB has changed her in that aspect. Hindi pala.
She absolutely failed the test which justified people's decision to throw her out. She doesn't even qualify to be in the top ten.
At first, I was so shocked and felt so bad about her being evicted. In fact, I was so excited to see her in her first interview but at one point I ended up being disappointed. She is not the kind of person pala I thought she is.
Dapat nga she will feel bad and apologetic upon knowing na naka perwisyo pala siya ng mga kasamahan niya. Pinagsabihan na raw siya pero she continued to be noisy when others are already sleeping. One word is enough Rica. Hindi naman pwedeng araw araw ka nilang pagsabihan. Nakakapagod yon ha.
And besides, Rica should have waited to see Cathy in person and confront her. She even said "Kakalbuhin ko Siya" which doesn't really represent the professional side of her. Kabago-bago lang niya sa showbiz eh! She has only made her first step in the showbiz industry and yet she is already wagging her tail. Rica you seem to be too comfortable in her own skin.
I hope Rica will realize one day that what she has done was too judgmental. She was heard telling people a few times not to judge her for what she is (for being Transsexual) but rather judge her for who she really is as a person inside and out. Having said that, she should prove her worth of respect. How can people respect her if she herself doesn’t give any respect to others. She came out to be very judgmental on that interview with Boy Abunda. She could have thought twice and weighed down if it’s wise for her to answer that controversial question.
Lesson Learned :
Pag may natutulog na, huwag ng mag ingay at respetuhan naman ang mga taong gusto ng magpahinga.
